Booking Policies
1. Payments
- 100% of the booking cost is due at the time of booking.
- Payments are processed through our booking platform, Lodgify, and securely handled by Stripe.
- For more details on Stripe’s terms, please refer to Stripe’s Services Agreement.
- All payments are made in Canadian Dollars (CAD).
2. Cancellations
- If you cancel 5 days or more before your scheduled arrival, you will receive a 100% refund of all prepayments.
- If you cancel within 5 days of your scheduled arrival, you will receive a 50% refund of all prepayments.
3. Damage Deposit
- A pre-authorization of $300.00 will be placed on the guest’s credit card 1 day before arrival. This is a hold, not a charge, and will cover any potential damages or extra charges incurred during the stay.
- The pre-authorization will be released within 24 hours after departure, provided no damage is found and no additional charges are incurred.
- In the event of damage to the property, missing items, or excessive cleaning required, a portion or all of the security deposit may be used to cover the costs. Guests will be notified of any charges within 24 hours after departure.
Cabin Rules
- No Smoking, Pets, or Parties: Strictly prohibited. Violations may result in the immediate cancellation of your stay without a refund. PLEASE NOTE: We do allow pets upon approval; however, you must contact us in regard to the breed and temperament of your pet and receive written approval prior to your stay. Failure to do so could result in a $150 pet fee.
- Quiet Hours: From 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
- Children: Supervise children around the fireplace, stairs, and hot tub.
- Security Cameras: There are limited cameras outside the house and in the garage for safety purposes. There are no cameras within the property or over the hot tub.
- Garage: Avoid prolonged garage door openings to maintain heating (garage is heated).
- Owner’s Closets: Private locked closets are off-limits to guests. Tampering with the locks or opening the doors will incur a $300 fee.
- Fire Extinguishers: These are located in the kitchen pantry closet by the laundry machine and basement mudroom above the drying rack.
Check-In and Check-Out
- Check-in: 4:00 PM
- Check-out: 11:00 AM
- Early check-ins or late check-outs are available upon request but are subject to availability.
Guest Capacity & Sleeping Arrangements
- Accommodates: Up to 12 guests
- Sleeping arrangements:
- 1 king bed
- 4 queen beds
- 1 double trundle bed
- Linens and tableware: Provided for up to 12 guests.
Facilities
- 3 full bathrooms, 1 half bathroom
- Dining: Table seating for 8, bar seating for 4
- Hot tub: 6-person capacity
- Kitchen amenities: Includes a full range of dishes, utensils, appliances, and cleaning supplies.
- Entertainment: Games and puzzles are available for your enjoyment.
Arrival
- 24-48 hours before your arrival, you will receive the door code for access to the cabin. In case you run into issues with the doorcode, we have a lockbox with keys.
- Access the cabin through the lower-level door using the provided code.
Departure
- Bag all garbage and place it in the garage.
- Ensure lights, TVs are turned off, and all doors are locked.
- Confirm closure of windows and doors via the alarm panel.
Wi-Fi & Cell Service
- Wi-fi name and password are located on the fridge in the cabin.
- There is limited cell service within the cabin and the Sasquatch Mountain area. Limited cell service can be found on the balcony and outside front of the cabin.
Fireplace & Heating
- The house is primarily heated via a forced-air furnace.
- Use the fireplace only if familiar with its operation. Monitor closely to prevent smoke issues.
- Burn only dried wood; do not burn garbage.
- Indoor and outdoor firewood is supplied during your stay.
Hot Tub Guidelines
- Check the hot tub temperature upon arrival and set it to your desired temperature.
- Ensure the lid is securely shut when not in use.
- No glass cups in or around the hot tub.
- Shower before each use.
Power Outages
- In case of a power outage, the automatic generator will start and power the entire house.
BBQ
- The BBQ is located on the balcony. Remember to turn off the propane tank after use.
Parking
- Park near the home but off the street to allow for snowplow access in winter.
- It’s recommended to back down the driveway, especially in winter conditions.
- There is a level 2 EV charger in the carport. Please hang up the cord after each use.
Road & Weather Conditions
- Sasquatch Mountain has steep gravel roads with sharp turns.
- In winter, vehicles must be equipped with winter tires and carry chains. A 4×4 vehicle is recommended for snow.
- The area is secluded, so ensure you bring all necessary food and provisions for your stay, as there are no nearby grocery stores.
